Size of baby: Baby is the size of a butternut squash.
Gender: Baby girl! :)
Weight Gain: About 21 pounds so far.
Symptoms: Lately I have just been feeling more pregnant, ha. I don't really know how else to explain it. Since we have been trying to get baby girl to turn head down, I have had to be really conscious of my posture. It is so hard for me to sit up completely straight! I have always had troubles with this but it has never been an issue until now. Sitting up straight has made my upper back more sore. I have been going to the chiropractor at least twice a week to encourage baby to turn head down. Another thing I have noticed is that my feet and hands are starting to swell, not too much but enough. My feet are also always sore so I can't go barefoot even at home so I end up wearing boots around the house. Also, since my doctor discovered that I am low on Iron and B12, I get a shot every visit from now on of Vitamin B12. Yay, more needles. Oh and the nesting has definitely started. On Saturday, Richard was doing the dishes and I got bored and decided to completely reorganize the panty and the kitchen cabinets. We have been meaning to do it for sometime and when I started doing the pantry, we ended up organizing the whole kitchen. It was awesome and now we have all kinds of room for baby stuff.
Movement: So as of my last appointment on the 22nd, baby girl is officially head down! Now, lets hope she stays that way! Everything I have been doing to get her to turn must be working, although now I am not convinced she was sideways a few weeks ago. Who knows, but this is good news! I have definitely been feeling bigger movements that tend to be painful. She is not necessarily kicking, but I can feel her moving around. I also will get random bulges on the surface of my stomach where she is pushing her butt or feet out and it makes my stomach look lopsided. Super weird.
Sleep: Sleep has been alright I guess. I am definitely not sleeping very soundly and I wake up many times. I usually wake up because my hands have gone numb or something my hips/chest are sore from sleeping on my side. So I have to get into a different position to get comfortable again which happens every few hours. But, I have usually been able to fall back to sleep easily so that is a plus. Still have to go to the bathroom pretty frequently.
Nursery Progress: Definite progress, but it has been a slow process. We have everything decided, but we are working on a few DIY project that are taking up a lot of time. We love everything so far and I love spending time in that room and just admiring everything. My biggest project has been getting everything organized and functional. It is quite the task.
Baby Purchases: We had another baby shower last week thanks to Richard's coworkers. They were so sweet to throw us a shower and we loved getting to celebrate again. We acquired more baby items from that shower and it was a lot of things we still needed so it was super nice. We have also been accumulating gift cards from all the baby stores so we went to purchase a few things we still needed, like cloth diapers, a changing pad cover, and laundry detergent. We still have a few things we still need, but we are so much closer to being done shopping!
Best Moment This Week: We had our maternity pictures taken last Friday! It was a little chilly the evening we took them, but otherwise everything went well! I can't wait to see them!
Looking Forward To: Finishing the nursery! We are so close and we cannot wait to see and share our completed room! Yay!
