Weekend Update | Peach Festival

This weekend was amazing. So much fun. And a little sad. But mostly fun. I am definitely feeling it this morning, but it was all worth it.

I had been asking Richard all week if we could go to a concert on Friday that was being held close to Richard's school at their annual summer festival. He finally gave in and off to Peach Festival we went. The band that was playing was an 80's cover band so I knew we were in for a good time.
We ran in to our friends at the concert not knowing they were going to be there and had a blast. Dancing and singing along to the music was more fun than I could have imagined. But with these people it is never dull.
We headed out after the concert to hang out some more since we did not want the night to end. I can't even describe why this night was so much fun it just was. Definitely one of my favorite nights since moving here.

Saturday night we hung out with basically the same group of people in our usual spot. It was James' last night in town before he moves off to Connecticut for a new job. We celebrated and said our good byes. James will be very missed. I took a picture with him and he was all excited that he was going to be on the blog because he actually reads it. (Hi James!)
The rest of the weekend was spent being lazy. I did start my next photobook (2012) and I am adding a bunch of fun extras that I can't wait to finish so that I can share it!

June's Past

June tends to be a little more busy for us so this post got a little long. But I could not forget anything so here we go.

June 2009
-We went to my cousin's wedding. My family weddings are always so much fun and this one was no different. My dad and my Aunt were a pretty hilarious pair while dancing.
-We went to Milwaukee with Richard's family for a birthday party. Richard and I took a walk out on the pier and there is more to the story there but I am ashamed to talk about it. But we did get some cute pictures.
On the way back from Milwaukee we stopped in Wisconsin Dells for lunch and then Richard and I went mini-golfing together. It is a tradition for us to go to that exact place every time we drive through Wisconsin Dells.

June 2010
-I went wedding dress shopping with my sisters and my mom and grandma came a little later. I found my dress (not the one pictured) and it was actually the first one I tried on. I pretty much knew what I wanted going in. Also, since we had extra time in my appointment, my sisters tried on some bridesmaid dresses. Trying them on at this store made us decide we needed to go elsewhere for our bridesmaid dresses since they did not have what we were looking for.
-My sister turned 18 so we decided to go to the casino before heading to our family's pool party. She won a bit of money.

June 2011
-We went out with some friends to a local place. I remember this night being a lot of fun and it is also the night that I decided that I will no longer drink vodka.
-Wedding planning was getting crazy at this point with only two months left to go. Is it weird I kinda wish I could do all that crazy again?
-We had my bridal shower at my aunt's house. I had to wear my little (not so little) flower thing that had utensils attached to it. It was funny but it got heavy really quick. We ate some food and had some shower games as well.
We took some pictures after the shower below left is me with my bridesmaids but we are missing one because she was in New York for the summer. Then I have pictures with some of my aunts and some of my cousins. There are so many people missing from these pictures, but I forgot to take the pictures before people started leaving.

June 2012
-I went with Richard's mom to find an apartment for us to live after we moved to Louisiana. The trip was a disaster and finding housing was the hardest thing about moving south. We ended up getting really lucky with the place we found. Thankfully it was not a total loss.
-We rented a cabin with my dads family. When we were younger my family owned a cabin and one weekend every summer our extended family would come up for a weekend. This week that we rented the cabin was a lot like that and fun to enjoy together again. We spent a lot of time on the lake and around the campfire. And I can't find any pictures at the moment so just picture a cabin on the lake with a fire pit.
-We went to Vegas for Richard's cousin's high school graduation. While we were there we stayed on the strip for a few days, went to the Cirque Du Soleil "O" show, played the slots, laid by the pool and just explored a lot. We were actually 21 this time when we visited so we got to experience Vegas a little more than last time.
