Garage Sale

This past weekend, Richard and I hosted a garage sale with two of my friends from work. We have been talking about doing this for quite some time and I am glad we were able to make it work.
We had a really good mix of things since we had so many families coming together to sell all their things. We started by setting up everything on Friday night. People would see us outside setting up tables and decided to stop and check it out.

We got there super early the next morning. I actually woke up at 5 on my own and we were at the house by 6:30. Way too early for a Saturday morning. Kristen brought her little man and he was super snuggly when he first got there. Such a sweetie.
The garage sale was a super success. Between everybody we made close to $700 and Richard and I made around $200. That is a nice chunk of change considering we were going to just donate this stuff if we did not sell it. Plus, it is much less for us to have to move, whenever that may be.
We sold most of our stuff. I wish I had counted up the number of boxes we came in with and what we left with so I could be more specific. I had filled up my entire Jeep full of stuff, plus we had a few more boxes that were in Richard's car. I left with the Jeep a lot less full, but I had taken a bunch of stuff from Kristen to go donate. So we only came back with maybe one or two boxes of stuff to keep. Everything else we did not sell we dropped off to be donated on the way home.

I am so grateful for these two ladies. Laurie and Kristen keep me sane during the week. It is so much fun to have these ladies to work with.
Now that we have the garage sale out of the way, I can officially start thinking about packing up some of our stuff we never use. I have a stack of boxes in my living room that are calling my name.
