Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend was fantastic. Far too short, but still amazing. Since Richard has been studying hard core for comps (he has his first day today, eek!), Richard's parents surprised me with a trip back to Minnesota for the weekend. Since it was a three day weekend already I barely had to miss any work so it was perfect!

I spent most of the day Saturday at the State Fair and will do a whole post on that later. The rest of the weekend was spent with friends and family.

I went to my good friends new house and got the official tour for the first time. We also had a bonfire and sat and caught up for hours. It was nice to catch up because life always gets too busy so we can't talk as much as I wish we could. Also, I forgot to take a picture.

Sunday morning I went with my sisters, brother-in-law and nephew to a fun park in the area. Us Aunites may have done more climbing than our nephew did.

I was also able to go to the new outlet mall right up the street from where I grew up. Having one so close was pretty nice. I was able to get some fun shopping done and add a few fall items to my closet.
I also went to Joann Fabrics to check out their fabric selection since I don't have one close to me. I found this awesome fabric that I can use for my newborn photography. It is really furry and fun and people were giving me strange looks while I got it cut. But it was a fantastic deal, so I don't care! I brought it back to my sister's house and my nephew was really confused by it and asked me if it was a puppy. He is pretty cute that one.

I also got ot spend some time with my good friend Heather. We have been friends since 3rd/4th grade and yet we still have so much in common. Every time I see her I am reminded why we are friends.

Other than that I was able to eat at my favorite places including Noodles and Company, Caribou Coffee (twice!) and Pizza-n-Pasta (best pizza ever!). I would call that a successful trip!
