March Goals

This weekend was a whirlwind of fun and excitement! We headed down to New Orleans celebrate Mardi Gras with my amazing family and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. I have not had time to go through the hundred pictures yet so that will be coming later this week!

For now we will start with a goals post. My goals posts are usually my favorite because they help me figure out what I want to do for the month. It helps me focus better on smaller things that can be accomplished in a month. First let's take a look back at my goals for last month.

Eat no Junk Food for a Month. I did well on this one for the majority of the month so I am considering it done! I resisted the urge for sweets when I was at home and there was no ice cream to be had. However, when a co-worker of mine is the mood for candy, he always buys some for me and I can't say no to that.

Take a Photography Class. I signed up and paid for an online photography class. Thankfully it gives you unlimited time so I hope to finish it next month!

Stick to a Cleaning Schedule. I did not follow my cleaning schedule that well. I was able to keep up with the day to day stuff, like laundry, dishes and cleaning the kitchen. But I have a room that I am supposed to work on everyday and that did not happen. But the little step towards my cleaning schedule still makes me happy.

Exercise Three Times a Week. I am happy to report that Richard and I both did fantastic in this area. We worked out three times a week, sometimes four even. We have got in the grove of doing it and Richard is excited about it so hopefully it will stick. It is so much easier to workout when you an accountability partner. It keeps you from slacking.

Gather Tax Information. I would call this one 50% done. I started gathering information, but then life got busy and I did not finish. I really need to send that information.

Limit TV Watching. I did really well at making sure that I did not turn the TV on when it was time to get stuff done. I resisted the urge to do nothing. However, I have been watching some TV only because I have been working on my photobook (more on that later) and  basically have the TV on in the background. So I am not counting that against me.

Finish One Pinterest Project. Boom. Finished. I am so in love with my vanity.

Other things to cross off my 101 Things in 1001 Days:
-We have officially had a full year of sending birthday cards to family members as of this month. Some were early, but most were late. I need to get better at being on time, ha!
-Kaitlyn recommended a new app called Water Logged that I am in love with. It helps to make sure you are drinking enough water throughout the day and it has the little red notification in the corner of how many ounces you have left to drink for the day. So if those red circles bother you, like they bother me, then it encourages you to keep drinking. So this month I have drank the required amount of daily water! Yes!

Get a Massage.  My dad keeps telling me that he will give me my Christmas present-a professional massage. Once he actually gives me my present I am hoping to be able to go get a massage.
Start a personal journal and write in it everyday for a month. I bought a journal way back in December and have not started it yet. I have noticed that writing about something makes me feel better, but I do not always want to share every thought of mine here so I need something more personal.
Stick to a cleaning schedule. I attempted this last month, but it fell through. Try again this month. I will be starting with a clean house after having family visit so hopefully I can stick to it.
Organize storage closet. I have been meaning to do this for a while and am hoping that I will actually have time for it this month.
Start to prepare for an emergency. I was in a meeting at work where they were talking about being prepared for an emergency at home and it made me realize we are not prepared at all. I am mostly wanting to prepare in case of a fire or if we have to go a few days without power. I know I would be devastated if I lost my pictures in a fire so I need to think about how to prevent that.
Try 3 new recipes. I have got into a rut when it comes to food in our house. We keep cycling through our recipes and I have not tried a new one in a while. I am hoping to not only try new recipes, but also find new recipes to add to our go-to recipes.
Finish my map project. I already bought all the supplies for this one, but ran out of time to do it.
Add jewelry storage to vanity area. Again I already bought the supplies for this, but I had to finish my vanity before I could set this up. Now that I am done with my vanity I can finish with my jewelry storage.
