Weekend Update

It has been a while since I have done a weekend update. It is pretty much because my weekends have been boring. Not that this weekend was the most exciting weekend either, but I have missed my weekend posts. So here it goes.

We went out to dinner with a bunch of people from Richard's program to celebrate some of the third years being done taking their comprehensive exams. We went to a place called Dawg House and I think it is my favorite restaurant close to his school. Their nachos are amazing. We could not get everyone in the picture, but here is most of the people who were there.

I had to wake up earlier than I usually do for work to head to Shreveport. I had to go there to take an exam so that I could get licensed to sell insurance. I am slowly working my way to being a financial adviser, but it will probably take me a while. I had to be there at 8:30 and it was an hour and a half drive. But I made it and I passed with flying colors! Go me! And they told me that I am going to have to come back because their fingerprinting machine was down. So I will have to make the drive once again.

After that I headed over to LOFT because a) I was by myself b) It is my favorite store and this one is the closest one at and hour and a half away c) because my brain was fried from taking the test and I needed a break and d) they were having a sale.

So I made an oops because I am not supposed to be spending money this month. I'm Alecia and I have a shopping problem. But I will make up for it by not shopping for the next two months. And this time I mean it. But I have decided that I really do not like shopping alone. I have these awesome pictures of me trying to take a picture of my jeans so I could send them to my husband to get an opinion. They are pretty hilarious, but I will keep them to myself. I got some really good deals which I am happy about. Then I made the trek back home and passed the time by talking with one of my good friends from Minnesota.

Then when I got home I got sucked into the trap that is the show How I Met Your Mother. And I do not remember a whole lot happening after that.

Sunday was a pretty typical day. But the weather here was gorgeous so we did head out to go for a walk. And we were watching our friend's dog and I think the puppies enjoyed getting out of the house.

So that was my exciting-not-so-exciting weekend. I have a feeling this is how the next nine months of my life will be until my husband takes his comprehensive exams himself in September. So I really need to find something to do to pass the time.

Oh and since it has been a while since I have done a weekend post I keep forgetting to mention that I finished the book The Notebook. I would have to say that I like the movie better probably because I have seen it so many times. But with that book I have officially read 10 books and can cross that off my 101 in 1001 days. Yes!
