2014 is going to be an exciting year for us. As Richard continues to get closer and closer to finishing school, there is more and more uncertainty about our future. We have no idea where we will end up next year and that scares me. But this year could potentially be our last full year in Louisiana, so we are going to have to live it up.

Richard has a bunch of different conferences that he will be attending this year. And for most of them I will be going along with him and that is super exciting. We also have some other fun stuff that we will be doing along the way.

Trips Planned
Mardi Gras - End of February/Early March we will be headed down to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. We can't live in Louisiana for three years and not go at least once. It will be an experience!

Hawaii - This is the one I am most excited about. We will be in Hawaii for at least 10 days along with some friends from Richard's school. There is a conference there and it is a perfect excuse for a vacation.

Washington DC - My husband is on a student committee for the American Psychological Association. They meet in DC four times a year, one of which is for a conference. And since the conference is over our anniversary there is no way I am staying at home. The other three trips Richard will make by himself.

Denver- Richard has another conference here in July. I have not decided officially if I am going but I am leaning towards it. Should be a fun time.

Minnesota- I will be going home to Minnesota at least twice. Once in the early spring and once probably in the fall. And maybe some other times. It will just depend how the year goes.

My husband also has his comprehensive exams this fall which will require him to be studying a lot. So it is going to be a crazy year, but I am so excited for our adventure!

2014 Goals
1. Be Healthy
This is a similar goal to last year, but I think it will always be a goal of mine. Eating healthier and exercising more is something that I am constantly working at. I would like to get in the habit of exercising 3-4 times a week. I need to find something I enjoy to do and stick to it.

2. More Me Time
I need to make more time to do the things that I want to do. I tend to spend my down time watching TV, which is a bad habit. I want time to do different crafts, or projects or leaning new hobbies. Anything crafty will make me happy. My goal is to set aside at least an hour every week to get my craft on.

3. Take More Meaningful Pictures
I love pictures. They freeze the moment in time so that you can never forget it. When its just Richard and I, I have no problem taking pictures. But in larger groups I feel stupid asking everyone to take a picture. But the result is that I hardly have any pictures of the people we hang out with regularly in Louisiana. And in 10 or 20 years, I know I am going to regret not taking more pictures of the people who may not be in our everyday lives anymore. So sorry if I get annoying, but I will have more pictures!

4. Live in the Moment
I am a planner at heart. I plan just about everything in my life. But most of the time that is me looking forward instead of living in the now. I want to enjoy more of the present and find ways to enjoy more of what Louisiana has to offer. Because our time here will probably be coming to an end faster than we may realize.

5. Cross of 25 Things on my 101 Things in 1001 Days
I crossed off quite a few things in 2013, but if I am going to do them all by September of 2015 I need to step up my game and cross off more things.
